Dr. Ernest Holmes
Dr. Ernest Holmes (January 21, 1887 – April 7, 1960) was the Founder of Centers for Spiritual Living. Dr. Holmes’ book, The Science of Mind, is recognized today as one of the leading viewpoints in modern metaphysics and New Thought. He believed there was a thread of truth running through every great religion and philosophy, and it was his desire to pluck out that thread, leaving behind all superstition, dogma, and religious opinion. He took that thread and created principles called the “Science of Mind,” these are the principles and beliefs we continue to teach and live today.
Dr. Holmes, through his voracious appetite for Universal Truth, recognized there are unwavering Spiritual Laws and Truths woven into countless world religions, teachings and philosophies. Through this recognition, he developed a universal philosophy and created tools for spiritual living that profoundly resonate to this day. His work provides us with a personal spiritual path, an understanding of our relationship with the Universe, and a connected and joyful approach to daily living.
